The Coronation Robes of Her Majesty Queen Alexandra

Ede and Ravenscroft had the honour of making the robes worn by Queen Alexandra at her husband Edward VII’s coronation. After the coronation, Rosa Ede received a gift that was to become her most treasured possession – a splendid framed engraving of Queen Alexandra in her coronation robes signed by the Queen.

This picture, its gilt frame surmounted by a small crown, remains on display at Ede and Ravenscroft in Chancery Lane to this day.
